Game Master Program

Private RPG Events

Regular table:

Regular tables at Java may only be reserved by members. Either the Game Master or a player from their table should contact the store via our "Contact Us" form and reserve a table up to 7 days before the day of the reservation. Staff will make a best effort to reserve specific tables if requested, but we reserve the right to provide a different table.

For private RPG games, players pay a normal RPG table fee per person ($3) or confirm that they are members.

Game Master does not need to pay a table fee.

Game Master will fill out a DM-GM Sign-In Sheet (available at the retail register) and return it to the retail counter associate at the end of their game.

Game Masters receive $1 per player in store credit for the game. This credit will be loaded on a reloadable gift card.

Game Masters are responsible for recruiting their own players, but may use either the Community Board near the restrooms or the Java Discord “RPG-Looking for Players” channel to assist in recruiting.

Game Master may make any other outside arrangements with their players for additional compensation (i.e. GM for Hire). Java will not be involved in these transactions.

Video table:

The video table at Java may be reserved by anyone (membership not required), by completing a reservation at https://www.javagamehauscafe.com/video-table-rental/. Cost of a reservation is $50 per 5 hour time slot.

With video table rental, Game Master and up to 7 players may play without paying an additional table fee. There is no discount for annual membership.

Ticketed RPG Events

All Java ticketed RPG events must be approved by Java’s owners. We do our best to vet Game Masters for our ticketed events to ensure that they well represent Java’s brand and values.
